preLaw Magazine Rates W&L Among Most Innovative

winterIn its latest edition, preLaw Magazine has named Washington and Lee’s School of Law as one of the nation’s 10 “most innovative law schools.” The cover story focuses on law schools across the country that are “reinventing the law school model,” embracing new techniques and influence legal education in the 21st century. The article cites, in particular, the new third year curriculum: “For those students who think the third year of law school is redundant, take a look at the new curriculum at Washington & Lee University School of Law. These fresh 3L courses are pushing out of the classroom and into the real world.” The innovative schools were chosen on the basis of nominations by law school deans. According to the magazine, PreLaw is read by more than 45,000 prospective law students. You can read the article by going to the site for the Winter 2009 issue and clicking on the cover. The article begins on page 22, and the W&L section is on page 27.
