While Washington and Lee’s men’s and women’s cross country teams are in Seguin, Texas, this Saturday to compete in the NCAA Division III Cross Country South/Southeast Regional Meet, W&L’s men’s basketball team hosts the W&L Classic Saturday and Sunday at the Warner Center. Since 1970-71, the Generals have played in 22 season-opening tournaments. This year, W&L’s opener is against the Muskingum Muskies from Ohio at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and the Generals then play Ferrum at 4 p.m. on Sunday. W&L returns three starters from the team that finished 15-11 a year ago. One of those returnees is senior guard Isaiah Goodman from Richfield, Minn., and you can hear Isaiah interviewed on the latest installment of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s weekly podcast.
